Opportunities Abound
The
beauty within you is always trying to make its presence known and to
express itself through you. For that to happen you need to constantly be
changing. Beauty is never static, never repetitive, always fresh and ...
well, beautiful!
As soon
as we resist change there is deterioration. We get so used to
experiences and feelings that are part of this deterioration that we
don’t even recognize it for what it is. We just say we had a bad day,
week, month or experience.
Whenever
anything changes - anything at all, however we judge it as positive or
negative - there is always some new opportunity, often more than one.
When we are not open to change we are not open to new opportunities.
Opportunities are endless because change is constant.
When we
do not take advantage of new opportunities we often try to avoid change
and keep things the same as they were before. This strategy sometimes
works temporarily but there are consequences, such as:
a) we
block our full growth potential
b) we do not deal with what needs to be dealt with
c) we stifle our creativity
d) stress or conflict is not resolved in the early stages, and can build
up toward a crisis
e) we do not act on time to avoid problems, illnesses or conflicts with
others.
f) we suppress what needs to see the light of our awareness
g) we block soul from expressing itself
h) we live in a cloud of illusion
There are
always early warning signs before problems develop. And problems develop
before crises.
To take
advantage of opportunities and to create opportunities for growth and
service it is useful to reflect on the changes that are occurring and
our responses to them.
An
opportunity is a potential that you can activate. There are only two
kinds of opportunities related to consciousness and growth:
1. an
opportunity to learn. This develops intelligence and understanding.
2. an opportunity to serve. This develops love and unity.
Either
one of these opportunities when activated empower the person to take
advantage of the opportunity. The result is a greater expression of
beauty in one’s life and it also enables the person to empower others as
a result of their learning and growth.

Exercises:
1. When you recognize a change occurring, ask yourself what
you could learn from this or need to learn in order to make the
change consciously and willingly.
2. When you are experiencing change, ask yourself what
qualities of soul need to be expressed in order to best take
advantage of the opportunity presented to you by the change. |
