What is consciousness and how is it created?
The purpose of life can be stated as creating consciousness. Consciousness is
that place where Spirit (the oneness of life) and personality/form (the
multiplicity of life) come together and merge. It is only in consciousness that
Spirit becomes aware of itself as matter, and matter becomes aware of itself as
Spirit. This self-awareness is the fruit of the creation of consciousness. The
purposes of our soul and personality are unique ways we participate in the
grander scheme of life.
